I was at the opening ceremony of Cathay Bank's corporate head office in El Monte yesterday. The bank was founded 47 years ago by a group of Chinese immigrants. They started in China Town and now has expanded to many states and have offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

The new corporate head office is newly constructed and is a seven storied building located next to the San Bernandino freeway. The entire building is made of glass. The president of the bank mentioned that solar panels will be installed in their parking lot to provide energy for the building. The ground floor consist of a branch and the executive offices are, of course, located on the top floor. Here are some pictures of the opening ceremony:
